26 novembre 2015Omg I agree with Giovanna! I could survive wohtiut the AC n deal with the heat sometimes. But duuuuuude, the lack of proper toilet is ROUGH! I remember when I went to The Island School back in Fall 2005 and we had our 8 day kayak trip around the cape of Eluethera. We had a 2 day solo where we were dropped off at Lighthouse Beach 200 yards between you and the next person and you were left there alone for the next 48 horus with a 5 x 7 tarp, string, emergency whistle, water, trail mix, journal, sleeping bag, and that's pretty much it. they took away our watches too. oh and no flashlights or way to build a fire. anyway, so building a shelter and being alone wasnt the worst part. digging holes in the sand/ coppice and avoiding getting bittten by bugs, pinched by crabs, falling over, prickles, etc and nothing to wipe with . yeah that SUCKED. and you had to stick a long stick in the spot you went in afterward to make sure you didn't accidentally dig the same spot up again, lol. so after 2 days when we were picked up and walking along the beach you'd see what seemed like hundreds of sticks poking up along the beach for miles where everyone had gone, lol. it was pretty funny :P anywho, i rambled, sorry. but just found i could relate to the annoying lack of bathroom situation :P love and miss you lots! :) ttfn
